Riva Rockett’s poem
Project type
Iilustrations
This project is a visual interpretation of Riva Rockett’s poem “To Another Woman.”
The design translates the emotional tension of the text into a minimalist yet symbolic composition.
The illustration focuses on a single gesture: a hand scattering small grains of salt downward. This action represents emotional depletion, one-sided giving, and the silent erosion of identity depicted in the poem. The falling particles function as a metaphor for love that dissolves in absence.
The composition is deliberately restrained. A strong red field contrasts with a pale typographic column, creating a visual gap between action and reflection. The use of flat shapes and reduced details reinforces the conceptual clarity of the work.
The result is a clean and symbolic visual language that balances emotional intensity with graphic minimalism.
